Amos Onyango, a relative to the deceased says Apiyo left her home on Saturday to attend the burial of a neighbour on the same village but didn’t return. Onyango says Apiyo's lifeless body was discovered around 4:00 pm on Sunday.
Zole, a veterinary doctor in Adjumani district presented himself to the authorities after they announced his search in relation to the mysterious death of his wife. Padusia was found dead in her home in Kirombe, Layibi division in Gulu district over the weekend, in what police suspected to be a crime of passion.
He says their preliminary investigations show that, the CAO could have been killed on Friday night but her neighbors learnt of the death on Sunday morning because of the stench from her decomposing body and flies around the house.
