Alfred Besigensi, the Kabale District Health Educator says that 65 tins cant serve the 60 government health facilities in the district. Besigensi says that the stock out affected last months Child health days, where children below 14 years were supposed to receive a dose of Mebendazole tablets.
The results indicate that 81 out of 152 primary schools in the District, failed to register any single candidate in division one. The most disturbing results were from Musamba primary school in Rubaya Sub County where, 17 out of the 23 candidates were ungraded, four obtained fourth grade, and only two attained grade two.
A disagreement has emerged between parents from the newly created district of Rubanda and Kabale District Education officials over sharing of funds for Uganda Multi-Sectoral Food Security and Nutrition Project.
Dr Besigye is expected in Kabale on Saturday January 30, 2015 where he will hold campaign rallies in Kamwezi, Kitanga, Muhanga Town Council, Bukinda Trading Centre, Kabanyonyi and Kyanamira Sub County headquarters before heading to Kabale Municipal stadium for his main rally.
The District NRM Administrative secretary Amos Rwanshaija says that the party will not tolerate members who deviate from agreed party positions. He describes the developments as disturbing and unacceptable.
Such groups are supposed to be working on the roads in Muhanga town council but according to the locals and leaders at lower levels, the road gangs are non-existent. The localâ€™s haven now petitioned the district leadership for possible intervention.
