Harriet Lamunu, the UWOPA Program coordinator says that they are in the final stages of re-tabling the bill. She says they accepted to have the bill withdrawn because they needed the new proposals to be included to the bill.

Parliament Urged to Reverse Burden-of-Proof in Sexual Offenses marital rape 2

The bill, which was tabled before parliament by National Youth MP Monica Amoding, introduces offenses and penalties for marital rape, incest, detention with sexual intent, administering a substance with intent of committing a sexual act, improper sexual activity with persons in custody and prostitution.

New Sexual Offences Bill tabled in Parliament sexual harrassment 1
