Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson, says Besigye has been whisked off to Nagalama Police Station in Mukono district. He declined to comment on how Besigye had beaten the heavy police deployment right from his home and Gayaza road to get to the city center.

The deployment comes barely two weeks after an attack on Kapchorwa Central Police station by unidentified gunmen who killed policemen, took off with 3 guns and 90 rounds of ammunition. Mbabazis lead lawyer, Muhammad Mbabazi told Justices of the Supreme Court this afternoon on day two of the presidential election petition hearing, that most of the polling stations in Kampala and Wakiso received voting materials as a late as 2:30pm.
Mbabazi told Court that the constitution requires that in announcing the winner, Electoral Commission must rely on results declaration forms, tally sheets and return forms, which wasnt the case. He argued that the final results that were announced by Electoral Commission chairperson, Engineer Dr. Badru Kiggundu were not those from the declaration of results forms.
The ruling National Resistance Movement -NRM party won leadership seats in six out of the nine sub counties in Luuka district. These Include Bukanga, Bukooma, Bulongo, Irongo, Waibuga and Irongo Town Council. The other three were won by Independent candidates.
Paul Akamba, the Busiki MP elect, says he defeated his rival in free and fair polls. Akamba says that even if three of the eight sub counties hadnt participated in the elections he would have defeated his rival.
Lucy Apio, another agent suspects their money was swindled by NRM party leaders in Oyam district. She asks the party officials to clear the air on why they havent been paid when other agents were cleared.
