UPCs Jimmy Akena, who entered the The Democratic Alliance offices first was later followed by his supporters who held placards dismissing the leadership of Olara Otunnu, and explained that UPC was not part of TDA.
The party is using the 2010 delegates register for the exercise because they have not organized legitimate party district conferences in which over 300 delegates are expected to attend. Ishaa Otto the National Mobilisation Secretary in the Otunnu faction says that they are crossing out names of defectors and the deceased and those who have willfully returned party cards.
