Dr Ronald Reagan Mutebi, an Epidemiologist in the Health Ministry who led the team that assessed the Covid-19 situation in the area, says they noticed several loopholes that make the community susceptible to the contagious virus.

Some of the fishermen at Kasensero and Kijanebarora landing sites say they walk 20km to go and get drugs from Kakuuto health centre III and Rakai hospital respectively because there are fewer health workers to attend to them.
However, the fishermen claim that less than a year since the deployment of the marine police force, L. Victoria has suffered many more illegal fishing and piracy. The fishermen are now demanding for an investigation into the activities of the Kasensero marine police force.
