The iron bar wielding thugs reportedly stormed Kasaija’s home in Duhaga cell in Hoima Municipality around 12am on Wednesday and hit him several times on the head.
Murungi, a resident of Lusaka Upper in Hoima Municipality had been referred to Mulago National Referral Hospital, after his condition deteriorated. He had deep cuts on the head and the face.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the Aswa Region Police spokesperson, says the suspects were picked up at around 2am in the wee hours of this morning. He says in addition to the weapons, the suspects were also found in possession of an old police uniform.
