Dr Kenneth Omona, the NRM National Deputy Treasurer who is coordinating and supervising the ongoing election in Apac, faults police for failing to take action against persons instigating violence in the polls, resulting into attacks against several NRM supporters in the area.
Amongi told URN on Thursday that her relevance in the Apac municipality MP campaigns is very minimal since she hails from Oyam district. The minister explained that she can only campaign in her Oyam South constituency and not Apac district.
Fred Ebil-Ebil, the UPC Secretary General who is coordinating the Apac municipal parliamentary campaigns for their candidate, says they will continue with the campaign much as it will strain their finances.
The UPC Secretary General, Fred Ebil-Ebil told URN that in a bid to win the seat, they have summoned their party members in government including Lands Minister, Amongi and Ambassador Acheng to join their campaign team.
The seven includes, the former State Minister for Tourism, Trade and Antiquities, Jovino Akaki Ayumu, the NRM flagbearer, George Okello Ekwaro, FDC Party Candidate, and Patrick Ocan the UPC party candidate.
Former State Minister for Wildlife, Tourism and Antiquities, Jovino Akaki Ayumu is the flag-bearer for the National Resistance Movement Party for Apac Municipality ahead of the Member of Parliament election.
