President Yoweri Museveni has transferred Adjumani Resident District Commissioner RDC Agnes Akello to Kole district after she was implicated in the plunder of Zoka forest.
The group, Friends of Zoka Forest, says the report authored by Esther Mbayo, the Minister for the Presidency is shoddy, poorly drawn and containing a lot of absurdities aimed at exonerating the real culprits.
The 4th Division commander Brig. Kayanja Muhanga has instituted a probe committee that will include army officers and Amuru and Adjumani district leaders to investigate the degradation of the forest.
Adjumani woman MP Jessica Ababiku confirmed on Saturday that after she tabled the matter in Parliament a team of ministers led by the Minister for presidency Mary Karuru Okurut will starts their investigations in to the plunder of Zoka forest on August 9th
