Maj. Telesphor Turyamumanya, the 3rd Division Spokesman confirmed the accident, saying it occurred around 7:00am in Kaabong Central Ward in Kaabong Town Council.
Thousands of people trekked several kilometres from the new district of Karenga and Ik constituency to Kaabong Secondary School in order to take part in the recruitment conducted by the Uganda Peoples’ Defense Force-UPDF. The recruitment centre had 250 slots allotted to it.
The 406 Brigade Investigations Officer Maj. Ephraim Byaruhanga issued the Directive on Friday, during a community security meeting held in Panyangara Sub County, Kotido district. Maj. Byaruhanga said the directive takes immediate effect.
