Parliament is considering establishing a beauty salon and a beauty shop within the precincts of the house to cater for the interests of both female legislators and staff.

Kinkizi East Member of Parliament Chris Baryomunsi on Thursday tabled the Tobacco Control Bill, a private member’s bill that seeks to regulate the use of tobacco in the country. Baryomunsi had earlier, accompanied by health experts, told journalists at parliament that the Bill seeks to regulate the manufacture, sale, promotion and public use of tobacco products.
