Yowasi was arrested by the Uganda People’s Defence Forces-UPDF on 26th June 2024 in Ibuga village, Kitswamba Sub County, Kasese district, following a tip off from a community member.
Court heard on August 10, 2024, in Kogere Cell, Kasese Municipality, Kasita laced a rolex chapatti with poison, which he allegedly gave to his stepchildren, Caroline Mbambu, 8, and Catherine Kabugho, 10.
