The girl was arrested on 22 February for interrogation in connection to a testimony she made in Kiru Church of Uganda, where she reportedly said she has been serving evil spirits together a Member of Parliament and that they were responsible for some of the bad things including some undisclosed deaths that happened in Abim district, over time. The girl reportedly made her testimony on Sunday 21st in public during a deliverance prayer at Kiru Church of Uganda.
On Friday, Abim Magistrate Court presided over by Nicholas Aisu, the Grade One magistrate heard that the suspect identified as Charles Dickens Orebo, a resident of Ywee-Wii village in Angolebwal parish Morulem town council reportedly assaulted Eveline Abonyo of the same village over a 200 Shillings debt.
According to Owilli, the deceased was seating in front of his house when he was shot dead. He says three people have been killed by suspected Matheniko and Jie cattle rustlers in his village since this year began. He says one of the residents was killed in his garden while another was shot with an arrow at a community borehole.

Maurice Auma, a resident of Nateete village in Awach Sub County was arrested on Friday following a tip-off from concerned neighbours who alerted the authorities about the traditional marriage ceremony involving Auma’s 16- year old school girl and a 24-year- man.
The six were all primary contacts of a confirmed COVID -19 case who went into hiding at Awach Health Centre II leading to its closure. They had been quarantined at Abim Hospital on Monday but escaped after only three days, before the return of their samples, to prove their health status.
