Fish farmers in Namokora Sub County in Kitgum district are stuck with over 10,000 mature fish in Wang Kwogo Valley Dam in Ladwogi Village due to lack of fishing gears. Alfred Omony, the Kitgum district Fisheries Officer, says the valley dam was constructed three years ago by the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries to supply water for livestock in the sub county.
As a result, all the teachers fled the school citing threats to their lives and the lives of their pupils. Alima Lagot Primary School has a population of 400 pupils.
