Fort Portal High Court will today deliver a ruling on a case in which a vehicle allegedly belonging to Owobusobozi Desteo Bisaka, a prominent cult leader, knocked and killed a senior official in Kyenjojo district in 2004. Thirty-nine-year-old George Kasenene Tibamwenda, a District Probation Officer, at the time of his death, was the only fatality in the accident involving a Toyota Land Cruiser Registration Number UAF 053C and a Yamaha motorcycle Registration Number UAC 077Y.
Fort Portal High Court Judge, Justice Anthony Oyuko Ojok overturned the orders of the commission. In his ruling, Justice Oyuko said that denying Mugisha access to his land and other property is an infringement of his rights.

Ferdsult Engineering Services Limited, a company that signed a deal with Kabarole District Local Government to restock crater lakes in the area, has appealed against a court ruling cancelling the deal. Hours after the ruling on Wednesday, Owen Murangira and Geoffrey Kayanja, the lawyers representing Ferdsult filed an appeal at the Fort Portal High Court.
