Presiding over the handover of the ammunitions at Afoji border on Wednesday the Resident District Commissioner Moyo Bob Williams Labeja said the SPLA soldiers were shot due to mistaken identity since they were not in uniform.
The team leader Dr Peter Muwereza says that the team will sensitise residents on the disease in addition to compiling an on-site report about the yellow fever threat in the district. He added that the Ministry is also mobilizing resources to carry out mass vaccination against yellow fever in the district.
Moris Vuzi Nyidanyi, the LCIII Chairperson of Dufile sub county says the over 100 elephants invaded the area from the wild yesterday destroying acres of plantations in the parishes of Dufile, Lebubu, and Chinyi.
The dispute stems from a piece of land that was once occupied by refugees from Sudan and DR Congo. Each district is claiming rights over the land although, when the refugees were being hosted, the land belonged to Moyo District Local Government and had been set aside for the establishment of a faculty for Muni University.
