Kyagulanyi was scheduled to hold his campaign meeting on Friday at Kaala playground in Kalangala Town Council. The venue had been Okayed by the district security committee.
The 24-year-old candidate accessed the island district through Bukakata aboard MV Pearl to cross from Masaka to Bugoma/Luku landing site. Upon his arrival, He arrived in Kalangala, Katumba addressed voters at Bugoma landing site, before visiting Bugoma Police station, Mugoye sub-county and Kalangala Town Council.
Katumba, who is holding campaign meetings in Kalangala, went to the police station to visit the suspects. He says that the suspects are all voters who deserve a better life.
David Ahimbisibwe, one of the officers in the marketing department at MV Kalangala says the ferry departed at 2pm sharp, even though Katumba's team as notified the captain that he would be ten minutes late.
He further explained that such a tribunal would ensure that Kalangala residents will reclaim their land, which was allegedly grabbed by the government to secure land for the introduction of the oil palm project in the district.
Muntu was expected to campaign in Kalangala on Monday, the same day he visited Kyotera and Rakai district. However, he postponed his planned campaign meeting in Kalangala citing transport complications.
However, some residents are not sympathetic to Muntu and his campaign team.
