The CAO Anselim Kyaligonza has cancelled the transfer of Dr. Sekanabo and ordered him to return to Karugutu Health Centre IV where he was working as a surgeon without giving any reasons for the decision.
Ntoroko Chief Administrative Officer, Anselm Kyaligonza told URN in an interview that transfers are normal and it's for the betterment of the facility. He explained that they have commenced investigations into the intentions of those involved in the petition.
Dr. Fredrick Kahuma, in charge of Karugutu Health Center IV, says the district and the government are aware of the situation at the facility, so he is trying to convince NGO partners to lend a hand and establish building structures to save the situation. The district Chairman William Kasoro says the medics have a tough time convincing patients to share the same ward, yet they can’t turn them away.
The machine in Rwamabale was donated to the farmers by the National Agricultural Advisory Services - Naads in 2016 after the farmers requested the machine saying it will help them minimize the losses resulting from poor milk handling.
Apparently, the affected families live on suspended makeshift structures hanging on top of their former homes. The most affected areas are residents of Kamuga, Katanga and Rwenyana villages.
William Kasoro the district chairperson Ntoroko district says he has continued to receive reports of the ongoing vandalism of public assets by unknown thugs across the district.
Kasoro told the prime minister that in 2019 floods submerged Katanga, Rwenyana, Kajweka, Rwangara, Kamuga and Kachwankumu parishes in Kanaara sub-county. They also affected several cells in Kanara town council and Butungama sub-county, which borders the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The deceased was the National Resistance Movement publicity secretary for the party, he had replaced the NRM party chairperson Vincent Mugume,who had been murdered in similar circumstances from his home district in November 2019.
Dr. Bagonza Patrick Businge, the principle production officer Ntoroko District says pastoralists enter the district at night and there are vivid clinical signs that their cattle have the disease.
Patrick Ajuna, the Ntoroko District Health Officer, says that the intervention follows an upsurge in COVID-19 cases registered in the district yet residents are still reluctant to observe the Standard Operating Procedures-SOPs.
Ntoroko District Local leaders settled the majority of them at Rwamabale Primary School bordering Bundibugyo District while others in Bweramule, Rwebisengo, Karugutu, Kanara and Butungama Sub Counties.

Police officers, who are majorly along the Ntoroko-Bundibuyo highway, are indiscriminately asking the people to clear the road and the places in its vicinity.
Beatrice Kiraso, the former Kabarole Woman Member of Parliament and Chief of Staff in the Tumukunde camp, says they had organised undisclosed venue near Bundibugyo town for the meeting with their supporters.
Two months ago, floods hit Ntoroko after Lake Albert burst its banks. The floods affected Kanara Town Council where it destroyed several homes, schools, health centers, and killed domestic animals among other things.
The floods have devastated several areas in Ntoroko district, where more than 70,000 people are living in camps in Kanara Sub-county, 1,300 homes are abandoned and uncountable properties destroyed.
The flood victims comprising mainly mothers and children have taken refuge in schools and churches. Majority of the displaced households have called for resettlement.
