Kibirige met his death on Sunday night at the residence of Joseph Musanje Sserwadda, the LC I chairperson of Kyetume-Katoma village, Kibinge sub-county who was giving away his daughter.
Residents say that no one realized that someone had been killed until Monday morning when Joseph Musanje Sserwadda, the Kyetume-Katoma LC I chairman, found a body behind his house.
According to Namukwaya, one of the two men armed with machetes suddenly started hacking Mugera while she yelled for help. The assailants warned to kill her if she continued to shout. She explains that the attack took less than a minute leaving Mugera in a pool of blood.

Preliminary police investigations indicate that the attackers hit Nakato with an axe on the head and strangled her grandson to death with a rope. The duo is suspected to have been killed on Friday night because that is when they were last seen.
