On Wednesday, Confederation of African Football- CAF President Patrice Motsepe announced that the East African joint bid between Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda- famously known as East Africa Pamoja had been awarded hosting rights for the 2027 Afcon tournament.
It follows a ban on Facebook imposed by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in January 2021, after the social media giant deleted accounts operated by government officials on grounds of seeking to manipulate public debate prior to general polls.
Before taking leave of this case, Justice Ssekaana who is also the head of the Civil Division of the High Court has strongly warned lawyers against misleading clients and advising them wrongly as opposed to telling them the right procedure. He accuses the lawyer who represented Mukasa for recklessly, carelessly and negligently filing an election case out of time.
