Speaking to URN, Dr John Omagino the Executive Director of the Heart Institute said they had finally started construction of a tertiary facility at the 10 acre piece of land located at Naguru hill however while they have already opened two roads to access the facility, they remain with one blind spot which if not opened will affect the ferrying in of emergencies once the hospital is finally opened.
Under the previous system, such students would have been advised to retake the examination. However, the Ministry of Education has yet to clarify whether this will still be the case for learners under the new curriculum.

The last person to be robbed in broad day light was Robert Tibamanya whose 100 million shillings was robbed by thugs on three motorcycle at Maganjo, in Kawempe division. Tibamanya had just withdrawn the money from Centenary Bank branch in Kawempe. The biggest amount of money robbed by the ride-along thugs was in Nakawa where more than 400 million was taken from an investor at 2pm.
“As such, UNEB has been informed by the Personal Data Protection Office “that publicly disclosing the names, photographs, and individual grades of learners on boards or other publicly accessible platforms exposes such learners to harassment, stigma, and emotional distress.”

According to the eviction notice signed by the board's secretary, Abubaker Kirunda, the land was originally leased to Narian Singh in 1947 for 49 years, but the lease has since expired. Kirunda stated that the property has now reverted to the Jinja City Land Board for further management, meaning all current occupants are residing there illegally.
