Kasese Boda Boda SACCO Disagrees Over State House Loan Scheme

Some of the boda boda riders in Kasese municipality are complaining that they are not benefiting from a state house loan scheme that was started during the February election campaigns. While on a campaign tour of the district, President Yoweri Museveni gave boda boda cyclists 20 million shillings to start up a loan scheme. The cyclists are now complaining that the money, which was given to all of them, is benefiting just a few.

Police in Katwe have arrested two brothers in connection with the kidnap of a three year old child from her parents’ home in Ndejje, Mirimu zone. Nakato Nalubega Joyce was reportedly kidnapped on June 29th 2011. The suspects, Joseph Nsubuga and Geoffrey Nsubuga, were arrested yesterday in Bukomansimbi with the child.
