High Court in Kampala on Friday sentenced Tom Nkurungira alias Tonku to death for murdering his ex-girl friend, Brenda Karamuzi. The judge however, acquitted Tonku’s former shamba boy, Fred Ssempijja of murder but convicted him of being an accessory to the crime. Ssempijja was sentenced to five years in jail.
