Renaming of Fort Portal Streets Halted tooro kingdom

Fort Portal has failed to discard its colonial era street names. Uganda Radio Network has learnt that the renaming was halted after members of the Tooro Kingdom parliament and members of the Tooro royal family petitioned Fort Portal municipality against the renaming of Rukiidi Street. The Kingdom accused the municipal authorities of showing no respect to the family of Rukiidi and the Kingdom.
