The Rwenzururu Kingdom has taken the Buganda direction of dialogue to push government for the return of what they call their properties. On the eve of the 20th coronation anniversary of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, President Yoweri Museveni signed a memorandum of understanding with Buganda guaranteeing the return of the kingdom assets.
At least five houses have been de-roofed and several crop gardens destroyed by a rainstorm in Kasambya sub county, Kibaale district. The storm on Sunday afternoon also left several animals killed. The worst hit villages are Bunwagi, Kihumuro, Buhungiro, Kirendere, Kyebando and Nyamigongo.

More than 600 residents in the villages of Awoo, Karuma and Nora in Mutunda Sub County, Kiryandongo district are affected by the power project.
