30 DRC Schools Yet to Open Over Insecurity drc rebels

A total of 30 schools in the territories of Beni and Walikale in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are yet to open for the new term a month, a month after the school calendar began. Omar Kavota, the spokesperson of the North Kivu Civil Society, says that insecurity in the area has made it very hard for the schools open for fear of being attacked by various armed groups.
