The proprietor of Mariana Hotel in Kasese town, Ronald Mbaguta has been remanded to Mubuku prison until November 04, 2014. Mbaguta was remanded along with Kigongo Kalemba, a "bouncer" at his hotel. The men face charges of murder.

Radio Manager Detained Over Child Neglect

The station manager for the Vision group owned Arua One FM has been arrested and detained by the police in Arua over child neglect and abuse of office. Salim Farouk Salim was arrested on Thursday after a woman identified as Sakira Khan abandoned a one year old baby at Arua one FM station.
