Age Limit Committee Makes U-Turn on Countrywide Consultations age limit bill 1 Top story

The Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee today resolved to hold countrywide consultations about the Constitutional Amendment No.2 Bill, 2017 going against an earlier plan not to do so. In the committees earlier plan ahead of the consideration of the Bill, a draft budget of 715 million Shillings was drawn up to facilitate 23 legislators to traverse the country and also visit three countries.

KCCA Orders Parliament to Halt Construction of UGX 180bn Chamber 1 Top story

Kampala Capital City Authority KCCA has directed Parliament to halt the ongoing construction of the new Chambers after the institution deviated from the original approved building plan. In a letter dated 22nd November 2017 and addressed to the Clerk to Parliament Jane Kibirige, Moses Atwine the KCCA Director for Physical Planning highlights alterations in the building plan which he says were never authorised by the city authority.
