According to Dr Elima, the machine’s are expected to be at the hospital before the end of next week adding that, 10 ventilators will be installed at the regional hospital while 7 will be installed at St Mary’s hospital Lacor.
The food will be distributed to persons whose livelihood was affected by measures put in place by the government to control the spread of Coronavirus Disease. Some of it will go the needy members of the community.
Kadaga’s directive followed a query by Buhweju County MP Francis Mwijukye who cited the non-payment of personnel constituted in different teams by the Ministry of Health after the outbreak of the disease.
This is according to a series of tests conducted by the COVID-19 task force after complaints raised by beneficiaries of the relief food, distributed in the first week. The food sent by the office of the Prime Minister, is targeting households whose livelihood was disrupted by the various measures instituted to control the spread of COVID-19.
