The facility is being completed using part of the 2 Billion Shillings that the government allocated to them to fight COVID-19 in addition to a $200,000 donation from United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) plus another $100,000 donation from the US Centers for Disease Control.
Earlier wen URN caught up with Beatrice Anywar, the Minister of State for Environment who led Uganda's delegates to the conference, she allayed any fears, noting that the country is determined and will append signature on the declaration. Anywar says she missed signing since she was attending a luncheon. “We shall sign. I was attending a high-level luncheon and I could not be there to sign,” she told Uganda Radio Network.
