The head of the Civil Division of the High Court Justice Musa Ssekaana issued the injunction on Friday adding that Mwerinde should continue executing his duties as the Imam until the determination of the main case.
In their Judgement on Friday, the judges upheld the decision of the law stating that Kakeeto's appeal was invalid due to the late filing and lack of leave from the court. They emphasized that the Advocates Act provides a clear timeline for filing appeals, which must be strictly adhered to.
Eng. Alex Otim, the project manager blames the delays on the stringent conditions by the donor. He further noted that although they have secured approvals for some of the management plans which has permitted the contractor to carry out forward maintenance on the road, they are yet to receive approvals for the proposed Query site and the contractors camp site.
