The body of the Retired Anglican Bishop of Soroti Diocese Geresom Ilukor has been transferred to Mulago Hospital as burial preparations get underway. The deceasedâ€™s daughter Jean Aarakit, told Uganda Radio Network on phone that a requiem service will be held today September 2 at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero. After the church service, the body will be transported to Lieutenant General Charles Anginaâ€™s home in Kyambogo for a vigil before it is transported on Tuesday morning to Bukedea.

But the Uganda government denies that such a deal was signed. Two people are confirmed dead after they reportedly ate Fox meat in Kyangwali Sub County, Hoima district. Joseph Opio and Expedito Tumusiime, all residents of Ngurwe village in Kasonga parish, died on Wednesday, just a day after the meat.
