Mukono Police are investigating circumstances under which the personal library of the late Elijah John Herbert Kitaka-Gawera in Agipu Zone in Central Division was set ablaze on Monday night.

Unknown arsonists reportedly started fire in the deceased’s bedroom where he had set up a library and stored important documents.

The fire also spread to two other rooms next to bedroom and destroyed property before it was put off.

Gawera’s heir Richard Kitaka says as a family they are yet to establish the motive of the arsonist.

He however, says they are suspicious that the fire could have been started by some family members targeting the deceased’s estate.
