Mbabara city
has broken Vipers SC unbeaten run in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Mbarara City defeated the visiting Vipers SC 1-0 at Kakyeeka stadium in Mbarara
this afternoon.
Henry Kitegenyi scored Mbarara
City’s lone in the second half to stop Viper’s SC unbeaten run. This is the 3rd
victory for Mbabara city this season.
The game started with both sides creating several attacks, which didn’t yield
any results in the first half.
However, Mbarara City returned in the second
half looking for an early lead and eventually got their goal through Henry
Kitegenyi with a long-range shot.
Vipers
struggled in vain to look for an equalizer in with threats from striker Yunus
Sentamu and forward Ibrahim Oriti.
Viper’s loss denied them a chance to retain the top spot in the
Uganda Premier League as they remain with 27 points. Express are the table
leaders with 28 points.

Mbabara City’s goalscorer, Kitegenyi who is a former Vipers player said he is
so happy for his goal, adding that was mistreated by Vipers is excited to have
scored against them.
