Forces-UPDF deserter is in trouble for allegedly terrorizing his family members
Ndyamuba, a resident of Nyakambu village in Rwenangye Parish,
Kamwezi Sub County in Rukiga district is in custody at Rukiga Police Station
for attempting to cut his 49 year old sister-in-law identified as Agatha
According to Niwampeire, Ndyamuba returned home
in 2017 for leave shortly after returning from Somalia where he serve under the
African Union Mission in Somalia-AMISOM and didn’t leave.
She says a few months
later, Ndyamuba ordered her to vacate one-acre piece of land, which her father-in-law
the late Vincent Rukikeire and her late mother –in-law Federensi Kamazooba
bequeathed to her.

Niwampeire wants top UPDF officials to intervene
and investigate Ndyamuba and if possible take him back to the forces. She says the
late Rukikeire and Kamazooba distributed their
property to their children including Ndyamuba before they died one and half

Mable Karibara, a crime preventer in Nyakambu
village, says Nydamuba has been a problem to the family members for some time.
says the suspect has been moving around with a machete or stick, which he would
use to threaten his family members and other people on the village.

Bonny Tugumisirize, a relative to Ndyamuba says
they tried to counsel Ndyamuba to behave like a professional solider but he
instead turned more violent.
