Bushenyi Police are
searching for a priest who has been missing for 10 days.
The Greater Bushenyi Region Police Spokesperson, Martial
Tumusiime, says Rev. Nathan Rwankole (68), a resident of Nyabicere St. Kagwa
Busshenyi central division in Ishaka Municipality has been incommunicado for
the last 10 days and his contacts are off.
Tumusiime says the priest’s family members reported a case of
missing person and Bushenyi Central Police Station since he didn’t tell them he
was traveling.
The priest’s son, Zakaria Rwankole, says his father was in
good condition and wasn’t ill when he went missing.
According to Rwankole, they
suspect that he could have been kidnapped but none of them has received a call
from kidnappers demanding for ransom.
He says that Rev. Nathan Rwankole had Shillings 600,000 on
him at the time he went missing.
According to Rwankole, what is bothering them
is that their father had previously never left home without communicating to
any family member.

Steven Karuti, the Bushenyi Central Division LC III
Chairperson, says the missing priest was open minded and good at sharing, which
worries them further.
Karuti says the
priest was last seen dressed smartly and though that he had gone to visit
neighbors as has been his practice but he has been seen since.
