Uganda's COVID-19 Cases Increase to 97

Six of the eight cases are truck drivers while the remaining two were picked from the community during the rapid assessment survey that was launched by the Health Ministry to determine the extent of community transmission of the viral respiratory disease.

Uganda’s COVID-19 cases have increased to 97, according to the Health Ministry.

Six of the eight cases are truck drivers while the remaining two were picked from the community during the rapid assessment survey that was launched by the Health Ministry to determine the extent of community transmission of viral respiratory disease.

One of the community members was picked from Kyotera while the other is a Ugandan truck driver from Mutukula in Kyotera district.

The other five are Kenyan truck drivers whose samples were picked from Malaba border and one from a Tanzanian truck driver at Mutukula border. A total of 2246 samples were tested on Monday.
