Ten commercial sex workers in Mbarara municipality are in trouble for aiding crime. The commercial sex workers were picked up this morning from Kijungu and Nyamityobora villages in Kakooba division of Mbarara municipality.
They are accused of conniving with thugs to spy on their clients and other members of the public. Swizin Tibesigwa, the Operation Commander, Mbarara Central Police Station, says the suspects work closely with thugs to spot their victims.
According to Tibesigwa, the sex workers rent rooms for between two to three months where they host the thugs and leave after their mission. Tibesigwa declined to release the identities of the suspects, saying they are still hunting for their accomplices.

The arrest of the commercial sex workers comes a few days after unidentified thugs waylaid Gilbert Mugisha Karengye, a presenter attached to Endigyito FM and assaulted him before taking off with belongings.
On March 29th, unidentified thugs strangled to death Naume Bwengye, a prominent businesswoman in Mbarara municipality. The thugs disguised themselves as fruit vendors to gain access to Bwengye's shop in Andrews's cell in Kakiika Division.
They made off with unspecified amount of money after killing their victim.
