15 Miss UCE Exams

The students told police that they were blocked from entering the examination rooms on grounds that some of them had similar index numbers, while the names of others were missing from the examination register.
Fifteen students of Masaka High School-Kyabakuza stormed the police station on Monday Morning seeking help after they were denied access to the examination room.

The students told police that they were blocked from entering the examination rooms on grounds that some of them had similar index numbers, while the names of some others were missing from the examination register.

Peter Muwonge, Harriet Nassozi and Prossy Nalumbugwe were found sharing the same index number U-15-13/O15, while Florence Namaganda and Moses Mugume shared U-15-13/014.

Students whose names were missing from the register are; Huzairu Kayiwa, Josephine Nanduga, Mase Namukasa, Allen Namanda and  Rosemary Namukasa.

But the students say they paid 1.5 million shilling to Samuel Kayemba, the headmaster and demanded to know why they were being blocked from sitting their papers.

Simon Wafana the Regional Police Commander says the students have pitched camp at Kyabakuza Police post and have been asked to record their statements.

Police have also launched an investigation into the matter and are also looking for the school headmaster who is reportedly on the run.
