The accident occurred this morning at around 11:30am at Suru Village in Biliafe Sub County after the truck driver lost control of the steering wheel and veered off the road before the truck overturned.

Josephine Angucia, the West Nile region police spokesperson says Sara Ratib, a resident of Tanganyika in Dadamu Sub County and a man only identified as Bayo from Rigbo Sub County died while being rushed to Arua referral hospital.
Angucia says 15 other people mainly traders who traveling aboard the truck were rushed to hospital but three of them are in critical condition.

Police have started hunting for the driver who has only been as Masudi. The bodies of the deceased are still in Arua hospital mortuary waiting for postmortem.
