Paddy Kamara chairman LC1 for Nyamwamba west said the deceased was last seen on Thursday morning while in good health.
Police in Kasese municipality is investigating circumstances under which a 23-year-old man committed suicide
by hanging inside a family house.
The deceased has been identified as Felix
Muhindo a resident of Nyamwamba
west cell, Nyakasanga ward Nyamwamba Division Kasese municipality. Paddy Kamara chairman LC1 for Nyamwamba west said the deceased was last seen on Thursday morning while in good
health.
However, the family became
suspicious in the afternoon after he failed to respond to their calls prompting
them to break into his room where he was found hanging. Kamara suspects the
deceased could have committed suicide due to frustration from unending family wrangles.
The OC Kizungu police station James Ongaja says police
have recorded some statements from family members and will continue with investigations
to establish circumstances that led to Muhindo's ending his life.
In Kasese, suicide especially among young adults has
been on the increase, with this latest incident the third in a space of
two weeks
