Police in Lugazi has arrested three men in connection to the
murder of Eva Kyolaba. Kyolaba, a businesswoman was found murdered in a
sugarcane plantation near a shrine at Kiremba, Nkokonjeru town council, Buikwe
District.
It’s alleged that on Sunday, Kyolaba a resident of Luwule, Nakisunga Sub County
in Mukono went to a witchdoctor Ismael Ssebuufu in Nkokonjeru.
Kyolaba owned a bar at Ggunga, Mukono Central Division.
According to the Ssezibwa Regional Police Station Spokesperson Helen Butoto
after the deceased failed to return home, the boyfriend Charles Katongole filed
a case of a missing person.
After investigations and search, police discovered Kyolaba’s body dumped
naked in a sugar plantation which is close to Ssebuufu’s shrine.
Although Ssebuufu managed to escape, residents demolished all his shrines.
Those arrested include James Kalema, the father and Suleiman Kalema a brother
to Ssebuufu and Gerald Ssendagi a Boda Boda cyclist who helped Ssebuufu escape.
