Filbert Ocailap, the Katakwi Resident District Commissioner, who visited the scene of crime, says the deceased's neck was broken. He says information obtained from the community shows that Aleper was last seen with Opolot on Monday evening taking beer in Apapai trading center.

He says the duo left with Opolot's friend whose identity hasn't yet been established. Opolot is suspected to have strangled Aleper on suspicion that she was involved with another man who called on her phone when they were drinking.

Filbert Ocailap, the Katakwi Resident District Commissioner, says they have launched a manhunt for the suspect to face justice. By the time of filing this story, Aleper's relatives had declined to bury her body until they receive compensation for their daughter.
