Accident Claims Two Toddlers in Sironko

According to police, the driver of the vehicle identified as Jackson Mafabi was reversing when he knocked the toddlers. John Robert Tukei, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, says Mafabi is locked up as investigations into the accident continue.
Two toddlers in Sironko district have been killed in a motor accident.  

One-year-old Henry Kirya and his brother, Fred Wetaka were knocked by MV Corona Registration number UAD 685P T at Nabudisilu village in Dahami sub county in Shrunk district around 10:00 am this morning.  

According to police, the driver of the vehicle identified as Jackson Mafabi was reversing when he knocked the toddlers. 

John Robert Tukei, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, says Mafabi is locked up as investigations into the accident continue.  

In another incident, Sironko police are hunting for three people behind the murder of Henry Nabulili, a resident of Kalawa cell in Budadiri town council.  

Nabulili’s lifeless body was found lying along Budadiri - Busiita road in Budadiri town over the weekend.

Zena Wadada, the Chairperson Wagagai cell in Nakiwondwe ward in Budadiri Town council, says the killers seem to have targeted Shillings 100,000 the deceased had on him. 

According to Tukei, a mob apprehended, a former convict he identifies as Henry suspecting him to have participated in the murder and lynched him. 

“He was traced and arrested by a mob and beaten to coma. Police rescued him but he died on the way to the hospital” Tukei said.
