Okello is in trouble over illegal possession of government stores.
Okello was
picked up by a team of police officers led by Kwania District Police Commander,
Edith Basalirwa from his residence in Alany cell in Teduka ward in Aduku Town
Council on Thursday afternoon

from community members implicating him for illegally acquiring military uniform
and using it to antagonize their peace.
He says during the arrest, police
recovered 1 pair of UPDF uniform, sweater and pistol.

Edith Basalirwa, the Kwania District Police Commander confirmed the GISO’s
arrest, saying the suspect will be charged with unlawful possession of
government stores contrary to section 316 of the penal code act.
James Ekaju, the North Kyoga Region Police Spokesperson, says the suspect was
found with a pair of army uniform, a sweater of a private security firm and
three UPDF caps.
He says upon interrogation, the suspect claimed that he
recovered the items from veteran and UPDF deserters.
Okello told
URN that he never wore the caps and was preparing to hand them over to police.

entitled to acquire government stores after signing for them.
