However, Nshimiyimana says all is not lost despite losing to Kenya in the Quarter finals
Eric Nshimiyimana, the head coach of the Rwandan national football team has asked for patience among the Rwandans saying they are trying all they can to became a very strong team. His pleas come after Amavubi stars lost 1-0 to Harambe stars and crumbled out of the ongoing GoTv Cecafa Challenge Cup.
However, Nshimiyimana says all is not lost despite losing to Kenya in the Quarter finals. He says the team’s performance in Cecafa will help them rise to greater heights. Nshimiye says is players have gained Confidence adding that their participation in the Cecafa challenge cup will help them to continue building a stronger team.
He however acknowledges the fact that the team has a lot to do in improving their goal scoring capacity, an issue he says will take time to be addressed. Nshimiyimana says the team will continue playing more matches to ensure it becomes better.
Rwanda lost two games in group stage to Uganda and Sudan 1-0 and 1-0 respectively before beating Eritrea 1-0 courtesy of Michel Ndahinduka’s goal to qualify to the quarter finals, where they ejected by Harambe stars .
