They also recovered several application forms of nurses the suspect had allegedly recruited after soliciting money from them purportedly to take them to South Sudan.
Solomon Musiitwa, the proprietor of Alliance Medical Research and Nutrition Center is in trouble for operating on patients without authorization. Musiitwa was picked up mid last week by operatives from Allied Health Professionals Council and Masaka district health department after his clinic along Hobart Street was closed. They also recovered several application forms of nurses the suspect had allegedly recruited after soliciting money from them purportedly to take them to South Sudan.
Michael Kayizzi, the regional Supervisor Allied Health Professional council Masaka says they decided to arrest Musiitwa because he has been masquerading as a surgeon. He says they found Musiitwa red handed preparing to operate on some patients at his now closed clinic along Hobart Street Masaka. Kayizzi also says that they found several government drugs some of which had expired but were still being dispensed to unsuspecting patients.

Dr. Stuart Musisi, the Masaka District Medical officer says this is the third time Musiitwa, who refers to himself as Dr. Musiitwa is been arrested for conducting illegal operations. Musisi says Musiitwa was first arrested in Bukomansimbi early this year and later in Kijabwemi in April. In both incidents the suspect was found in possession of identity cards showing that he was a surgeon at Mengo Hospital, Lubaga Hospital and Bukomansimbi Health Centre IV.

Cue out: …you are not there.”//
Dr. Musisi blames police and the judiciary for releasing such suspects on bond without prosecution, which has given them liberty to resume their illegal operations. Musiitwa who was locked up at Sazza Police station blames the health ministry for delaying to confirm him. The suspect claims to have acquired all the necessary qualifications from Mbarara University of Science and Technology. But Teddy Naudo, the Criminal Investigations officer Sazza Police station dismisses the claims by Musiitwa.
She claims that preliminary investigations show that all the documents found in possession of Musiitwa are forged. She told URN that they were still consulting on which charges to prefer against him. This is the third quack doctor arrested in greater Masaka since the year begun. Early this year police nabbed Emmanuel Ssebunya and Edward Tusubira after they found operating without authorization. Noah Sserunjoji, the Southern Region Police spokesperson says the suspects enjoy the right of bond. He claims police releases the suspects on bond because investigation are still ongoing.
Michael Kayizzi, the Regional Supervisor of Allied Health Professional Council attributes the influx of quack doctors on the limited personnel to hunt them down.
