Peter Ahimbisibwe Ntagali, son of Church of Uganda Archbishop Stanley Ntagali has died.

A statement from the Rev Canon Dr Alison L. Barfoot, the Provincial Communications Officer, says Ahimbisibwe died today morning after a short illness.

“The family of the Most Rev. Stanley and Mama Beatrice Ntagali regret to announce the death of their son, Peter Ahimbisibwe Ntagali, on Friday morning, 9th December. He died after a short illness and is survived by his wife Patience Arinda Ahimbisibwe and their two daughters, his parents, and his four siblings,” reads part of the email. 

Canon Amos Magezi, the Church of Uganda Provincial Secretary, told URN in a phone interview that Ahimbisibwe was hospitalized last week at Nsambya Hospital where he died this morning. He could not reveal details of the cause of death saying that they are currently waiting for a doctor's report.

The funeral, according to the statement, will be at St. Paul's Cathedral, Namirembe, on Saturday, December 10th at 5 p.m, while burial will be later at their family home in Hoima district.
