More than 400 members of the defunct arrow boy's militia group yesterday stormed the Soroti resident district commissioner's office demanding for their pay.
The group claims that their names were omitted from the list of former fighters who are currently receiving their terminal benefits.
Ben Etonu, the Soroti Resident District Commissioner, says he has received the complaints and promised to scrutinize the payment lists for any anomalies.
Etonu however says that not all the 400 alleged arrow boys who turned up at his office are genuine claimants.
Lt. Henry Obbo, the Eastern Uganda UPDF Spokesperson described the purported claimants as a group as imposters who risk arrest for attempting to obtain money by false pretence.
Obbo explains that the list was compiled with the help of village chiefs with knowledge of the people who served in the defunct force.

But Robert Adiama, the head of arrow boy's complaints desk, says the former fighters have a genuine complaint because their names were omitted from the payroll.
Government recently released more than one billion shillings to pay arrow deserters and to compensate families of arrow boys who died while fighting alongside Uganda Peoples Defense Forces to flush out LRA rebels who had invaded Teso in 2003.
The former Arrow boy's deserters are being paid 180,000 shillings as three months salary arrears, while the families of fallen arrow boys are receiving 360,000 shillings in compensation.
