Arua Covid-19 Treatment Centre Filled Up

During a weekly task force meeting on Thursday, the members reported that the 20 bed capacity of the hospital got filled up on Wednesday after two positive cases were admitted.

Arua district Covid-19 task force is struggling to look for another place for management of positive cases after the treatment centre at Arua hospital got filled up.

During a weekly task force meeting on Thursday, the members reported that the 20 bed capacity of the hospital got filled up on Wednesday after two positive cases were admitted.

Manase Anziku, the health inspector and secretary covid-19 task force said there is an urgent need for a new place to manage positive cases.

Dr Philbert Nyeko the Arua Hospital Director says that there is hope that in the next few days some of the asymptomatic cases could be discharged. He also stressed the need for alternative space.

A member of the district task force who preferred anonymity says that there are plans to set up another quarantine centre at Kuluva hospital and Arua Prisons Primary School.
